Smiling Tamaraw Garden (Manila)

Philippines / National Capital Region / Manila

Also referred to as Nicanor Reyes Sr. Memorial Garden, it is a hidden park at the back of the Grandstand. It is accessible through three entry ways: at the two sides of the Grandstand and from the middle entry way of the Nicanor Reyes Hall.

It’s name “Smiling Tamaraw” refers to the image its landscape appears from an aerial view.

The garden features a bronze statue of the founder Nicanor Reyes Sr. by Peter De Guzman. And beneath the statue is a time capsule to be opened at the university’s centennial anniversary.
