AYYAPPA TEMPLE - The Temple build and managed by Shree Sabarimala Dharma Sastha Seva Sangham, a Registered Organization under NTC in the year 1977. Ayyappa Temple is a place of worship for people from all walks of life irrespective of their caste, creed and language, thus to maintain the tradition of propagating “Sanathana Dharma” and thereby this temple stands as a true symbol of National as well as Religious integration. This is a place where people can have the feeling of Universal brotherhood and religious integration. It is a well known fact that a peculiar “Chaithanya” is prevailing in this temple. One should definitely feel the pleasure of the supreme bliss after having a glimpse of the religiously decorated presiding diety Lord Shree Ayyappa. On 14th of January, on Makara Sankranti, ‘Makara Vilakku Mahotsavam’ is being celebrated at most devotion. The main Temple of Ayyappa – Sabarimala Temple - is situated in the dense forest of Kerala on the top of a mountain named Sabari Mala. To reach sabarimala for darshan in the temple shrine, one should strictly observe the prescribed vows and austerities for a period of 60 days. – T.R.Nandakumar, Ex. General Secretary of the Sangham.

  • Ofcourse, this is a temple of swamy Ayyappa. Now a days the entry to ladies between the age of 11 to 50 to Sabarimala is a big issue. But except Sabarimala, I thnik, there is no restriction of entry to ladies between the age group of above in any other temples of Ayyappa. I don't know why is it so?
