A publicly-accessible font for the Soda Spring, a mineral soda water spring, is the centerpiece of the "rotunda" (front foyer) of the historic Manitou Springs Spa Building.

The Soda Spring (a.k.a. the "Manitou", "Doctor", or "Galen" Spring), is one of the original natural springs of Manitou Springs. In the early days it was considered the one with the best-tasting water.

Before the Spa was built, the Soda Spring was covered by an elaborate open-air pavilion built in 1885. Before that, the Soda Spring was flanked by a "rustic" gazebo made from tree branches, built in 1872. (The gazebo was moved across the creek to the Navajo Spring when the Pavilion was built.)
