16, Montpellier Road was the historic site of one murder and twenty suicides (all by jumping from a 70ft.tower which formed part of the Victorian house that used to occupy the site) and allegedly one of the more haunted houses in London. (See Andrew Green's "Our Haunted Kingdom" of 1973.) Certainly a curious case.
