Formerly the storage and repair facility for the locomotives of Toronto's extensive rail system, former locomotive bays #1 to 11 of the Round House now houses the Steam Whistle Brewery. Steam Whistle Brewery is an independent brewing company that produces Steam Whistle Pilsner. The company is also a strong supporter of Southern Ontario Culture, ranging from the rich Toronto independent music scene, to sporting organizations like the Steel City Racing mountain bike team.
The Steam Whistle Brewery is the site of the 2006 World Rock Paper Scissors Championships, as well as the 2005 championships.

The rest of the Roundhouse houses Leon's Furniture and the Toronto Railway Heritage Centre, which has a collection of historic locomotives and cars. See www.trha.ca/johnstreet.html
