Located at 47 Division Street, this home was the location of an early school to instruct African children in 1760’s. Later the home is used by the founding members of the Free African Benevolent Society starting in 1780. Occramar Marycoo (Newport Garnder) gave music lessons from the garret of the home to both black and white students.
