This park used to be part of Bombay Scottish School. It was taken over by BMC for public use circa 1970. In 1981, Hinduja Hospital tried to grab the land to build a mortuary, but this effort was succesfully fought off by citizen's groups led by Pricipal L. Gamaliel, Dr. Jayant Thatte and Prof. V.B. Kamat. It's wonderful to see how it has developed, and brings so much joy to so many!
