Basin – the village of blue and green colour ( as one german poet said “ Grren branches – green wird ... “ ) – where the colours and the sounds are more different than anywhere else, became the centre of culture. Geographically, it’s situated in the pleasant valley of the Jasenica river, on the road Smederevska Palanka – Topola. The association ULUB, which gathers artists and the art lovers in general, made this small village the centre of pure Serbian spirituality, by organizing art colonies with eminent artists from different parts of our country. In the colony – the explosion of pure spirituality and art sensibility – spontaneously made the beautiful sash weaved by the finest twinklings of human soul and heart. The association president Biljana Ivanovi}, a sensible person, in love with the beauty of sound, colour, spirituality and culture took on a duty to ennoble her neighbours, the habitants of her native Ba{in, introdicing many new cultural things in their lives.
She intends to make the Mecca in her homeland where believers – the lovers of beauty and aesthetic values – will come. It will become the centre of art events with only one wish – to uproot the trash and the lack of taste.
