Built in 1880-1883 this small stone church can be seen from the passing ferry in Fulford Harbour. Early settlers of Salt Spring Island were mainly of European descent though a group of African American ex-slaves arrived from San Francisco as well as a community of Hawaiians from the Big Island. The headstones at St. Paul's testify to this diverse heritage.
