Chimane is 75KM away from Kolhapur district place. Main ocupation of the villagers is agriculture(95%). farmers grow rice crops, ground nut crops, soya, chili, jawari crops,(in renny season) & also get income from cashunut, mango(in summer). Mr. sutar(the first enthraprenuar in chimane) have establish an cashu nut firm in 2004 which provide market for cashunut of village.MR Dattatray Nadawadekar have started rice mill Before 30 years in chimane which facilitate to all the farmars of the chimane. Tragidi of this village is farmers have to go to their fars up to 3-4KM by feet.the rode to farm r not in condition, yet these r of soil making them proper is a need of the farmers. Most of the old farmers of this village r sufaring from siviar ankle pain due to using wholl life bad rode of the farms which r nessesary to build urgently for the growth of the village.
