Deir Hajla is a Greek Orthodox monastery on the West Bank, north of the Dead Sea. It is sometimes known as Mar Yohanna Hajlah 'St. John of Hajlah' or Kusr Hajlah. It was first named "Kalamon", after the reeds which grew in the nearby spring.
