  • This one was, for a time, converted to a steakhouse in Gorky Park. The *real* Buran, which only flew once in 1988, was destroyed about a decade ago when a blizzard collapsed its hanger. A couple others were in construction when the program was abandoned, but of course they were never completed.
  • The ”Real Buran” was destroyed when the Roof of Baikonur Site 112 [refer to location 45°55'41"N 63°17'55"E] collapsed in May 2002, due to overloading it with building materials. Two other Full-scale Mock-ups are at the MZK Fuelling Facility at Baikonur [refer to 45°56'25"N 63°19'6"E], one is displayed at the Museum of the Baikonur Cosmodrome [refer to 45°54'33"N 63°19'3"E] and one is on display in Speyer Technik Museum [refer to 49°18'42"N 8°26'50"E].
