This redoubt was one of the 32 fortifications belonging to the 95 Km. long outer defending girdle around Antwerp.
Build in 1908 between fortress Koningshooikt and redoubt Dorpveld.
It was armed with 2 75mm and 2 120mm cannons.
During WW I heavily shelled by the artillery of the Germans.
