This redoubt was one of the 32 fortifications belonging to the 95 Km. long outer defending girdle around Antwerp.
Build in 1908 between fortress Brasschaat and Schoten.
It was armed with a 75mm cannon,
After WW I used as a family house.
During WW II, Germans surrounded the redoubt but the soldiers could stand the siege until they ran out of ammunition.
The redoubt survived the war and today it is rebuild as a discotheque.
