Dikrong is coming down from Sub Himalayan Terrains by the side of Naharlagun town of Arunachal Pradesh, and Subansiri is also coming from further north of Arunachal. Both the rivers met at this point. Name of the place is Bodoti. During early British period in India, here was a big river port of great importance. But two hydro-electric projects have been started on these two rivers. Hence, volume of water flow became very less and both the rivers are in a dying condition as on today. There is no trace of Bodoti river port now a days.
