Years ago, this Italian bakery was the scene of explosions as a result of disagreements in the Toronto mob scene. But now, this heritage has been largely forgotten. When one of the co-owners was murdered in 2000, there wasn't even the dignity of killing him at this bakery. No, he was killed at the much smaller bakery, on Eddystone.

It's known now for being open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for takeout from an Italian hot table.
