The Harry F. Byrd Visitor Center is the main visitor center for the park and overlooks Big Meadows. Park information is provided at this visitor center, as well as maps and a bookstore. There are exhibits featuring the history of the park as well. There is an overlook of Big Meadows from the back of the building.
