  In This Town Hanuman,Shiva,Saibaba,Venkateshwara Swamy,Pochamma Temples are famous.Tonkini is near to the Sirpur Town around 3km. Hanuman Temple is very famous in Tonkini,so many devoties are coming to this temple.Sirpur Town is one of the border of Andhra Pradesh.

  I lived in this town from 1948 to 1972. Surrounded by thick forest, a calm and quiet place to live in. Festivals of Dusserah and Ganesh Chaturthi were celebrated in a grand way by all the town people together.

  Sirpur is located in Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh. It rests on the banks of river Wardha. Sirpur is around 80 km east of Adilabad. Sirpur, formerly known as Suryapuram, was ruled by the Gond King, Ballala. Sipurt Fort is a major tourist attraction. Distinction of the town is the Sirpur Paper Mills, one of the biggest paper mills in India and hence the name Sirpur Kagaznagar. First class cricket matches are held on the Sirpur Paper Mills ground. Hyderabad Airport is the nearest airport. Sirpur also has a privately owned airport. Sirpur Kagaznagar Railway Station and Sirpur Town Railway Station serve the town.
