Eastern Industries, Inc., Kutztown Quarry and Hot Mix Asphalt plant are approx. 3 miles east of Kutztown in Maxatawny Township, one mile off Rt. 222 at Quarry and Hinterleiter Roads. The quarry and hot mix asphalt plant serve Berks and western Lehigh Counties. Both plants offer on-site delivery of materials or convenient plant pick-up.

The Kutztown quarry is both Penn DOT and New Jersey DOT approved Type 'A', SRL 'H' , dolomite material. The quarry began operation in 1941 as Eastern Lime Corporation; the name was later changed to Eastern Industries, Inc. in 1965. The new crushing plant, installed in 1998 is capable of producing 500 tons/hr.
