Second World War 1939-1945, pillbox
Dug-in guard posts, normally equipped with loopholes through which to fire weapons, made from concrete are known as "pillboxes". This one is a 'type 24' pillbox located in Porthleven harbour, was designed to protect the village during World War Two.
