This is the ancient site of Stanton Low village, the number of dwellings is unknown at this time. The village was run down in the late nineteenth century, for no known reason, maybe the canal or the railway developement had something to do with it. Most of the villagers moved to nearby Stantonbury, sited south of the Wolverton Road. The manor house for Stanton Low was sited somewhere near the church.
