Someshwar temple was built about 450 to 500 years ago. It has a typical structural pattern of Shiva Mandir usually found in Konkan region. The construction is totally in stone and wood and there is no use of any kind of steel/iron hardwares. An inscription on a wooden beam depicts that the temple was renovated by a gentleman named Shri Athavale in 1764. Shivratri Utsav is celebrated every year when a number of people visit the temple for Darshan.
