  this is where we used to play in the evenings. Go to the nearby house and ask for water whenever we were thirsty and used to listen to their cribbing - veettula nalla tiffin sappittuttu inga vandu thanni kekkarela? - oh, what fun we used to have.. i recollect our gathering the big purasai leaf for making eating plate for my granny (she would not eat in the steel plates - echchil - so religiously we used to collect the leaf everyday to serve her food the next day. you have to collect not so tender leaves, wash them, knit them with the help of broom stick (un used, new one) in the shape of thali.

  I used to live in D-81 closed to the park - and spent my childhood in the park. They would even have birds in the zoo and bands would play on Sundays...miss that park. I went back about 5 years ago - the house iis still the same - and the sampangi trees were still there - I would climb and pick the flowers daily @ 530 AM
