Originally called Ashburnum Creek Regional Park, it was renamed Lily Beach Park in 1988. A parking lot was developed in 1994 and 1995. There is a trail down to a sandy beach on Lake Cowichan with a swimming area protected by a log float. Ashburnum Creek bisects the park.
The park is well known for its Pink Fawn Lilies that are found in only three sites in B.C. The blooming period is mid-April to early May.
