Apparently the site of the grange buildings for Poulton Abbey. Later the site of Poulton Hall, the manor house of the Manley family. Excavated June 2007 by the Time Team as the possible location of the abbey complex, but proved not to be so. Magnetometer and resistance surveys were performed and five exploratory trenches were dug.
