Monastery on an island. It belongs to the Nyingma order and is ascribed to King Trisong Detsen (8th century). It was burned during the Cultural Revolution. There was a college with four monks, a lama and ten monks. It was rebuilt and has now a lama and three monks. An ancient tree on the island is said to have been grown from the hair of Guru Rinpoche's consort Yeshe Tsogyal. Chin.: Cuosong Gongba.
