The primary product is J-P8 received by barge through a three and a half mile long pipeline. A large portion of the DFSP mission involves shipment of JP-8 via a five and a half mile long under ground pipeline system to Charleston AFB. DFSP Charleston also provides product shipments to other assorted DoD designated activities. These products are dispensed by pipeline, rail tank cars, and tank trucks. DFSP Charleston has a shell capacity of 560,000 barrels and an annual throughput of 3,500,000 barrels.
