The Royal Coin Cabinet, or National Museum of Economy which is the official name of the museum, displays coins, banknotes etc from all periods of the Swedish history. Add to this a large number of medals of different types and origins and you get a very interesting museum to visit.
This museum has the biggest coin in the world as well as the first ever coin made in Greece in 625BC. It houses an impressive collection of coins and is designed with innovation in mind. There are plenty of interesting exhibits with lights and motion-triggers to keep both adults and children amused, and there is in fact a special exhibition and playroom for children.
