A hilltop settlement with a large town square in front of its church that is often used for celebrations. There are plenty of festivals in Gozo as patron saints are commemorated by many/most towns. Xaghra is no exception. They also annually celebrate deliverance from the Turks in the 16th Century by Crusader Hospitallers based in Malta: large carved wooden statues depicting combat are set out in the square, along with funfairs and foodstalls, and large quantities of ice cream and nougat are consumed.

Famous neolithic temples nearby.

Cellars of two local houses are actually caves that feature limestone formations like stalactites and stalagmites and are open for public view.
