Il-Merzuq (Tas-Salvatur)

A conical hill where a large wooden cross was erected in 1901. In 1904 Gozo was consecrated to Christ the Saviour and a stone statue of Jesus replaced the cross. A large concrete statue has in turn replaced that, and the hill has been re-named Tas-Salvatur (Our Saviours' Hill).

Like the Cristo Redentor in Rio, but smaller!
