This place use to have a Rice Mill belonging to Late Mr. Keshav R. Naik. The history is quite interesting, Mr.Naik use to work in this mill in his younger years and later on he went on and bought the place from the owner. The mill has been demolished and now hold the largest shopping center with the most spacious residential area in the whole town. Its been named after the well deserving son of Mr. Naik, Late Mr. Prabhakar K.Naik.
