Wheal Prosper Engine House is situated on the cliff tops of Rinsey looking over Rinsey Cove. The engine house, with its attached chimney was built in 1860 for the working of tin and copper mines. The mine closed in 1866. The site is under the care of national Trust. The engine house was used during the filming of the 1995 Poldark TV series.
