The village was founded by Thakur Salem Singh(Grandson of MahaRao Shardul Singh) and was an estate of 12 villages.The village fort was attacked by the SHEKHAWATI BRIGADE in 1837.All the residents and communities in this village i.e Rajputs,Kayamkhanis,Jats,Brahmins,Dalits etc. live in peace and harmony.
