temple, ruins

"The Mansion of Aten" (name stamped in bricks from this area) occupied a space of 191 x 111 meters, enclosed in a brick wall (temenos). The temple was organized in three courts whose access was guaranteed by pylon gateways. In the third court was the sanctuary: it was originally built from stone blocks and covered with carved and painted scenes.
