Designed and built in 1919 by Architect Frederick J. Roehrig for oil tycoon Edwin Marshall, the Marshallia estate was eventually purchased by Dr. Charles and Vera Strub, (developers of Santa Anita Racetrack) who then donated the property to the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus. It is currently the campus of the Mayfield Senior School.
