Sankt Nikolai Church is the oldest in the area, and was founded in the twelfth century. The present nave was built at this time, and extended about two hundred years later, when the choir was added. The font and a carving on display here date back to the medieval period. The impressive altar screen, from the early sixteenth century, contains visual depictions of the passion, death and ressurection of Christ.
