Bulanik (Turkish: Bulanık) or Kop' (Armenian: Կոփ), (Kurdish: Kop), today is a town and district of Muş Province in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. The town has a population of 24,354, and the district 85,114, mostly Kurdish people.

History:

Before the Big genocide of Armenians (1915-1923) this was an ancient Armenian town of Kop', known as center of Hark' (Armenian: Հարք) district at northeastern side of Historical Armenia's Turuberan province. Population was engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry, carpetry, blacksmithing, shoe making, pottery, sewing, folk medicine and backery. Rasho Melkon (Armenian: Ռաշո Մելքոն) (Melkon Movsissyan) was a mayor of the town at 1910th. He was a legendary personality who has organized migration of Hark's Armenians towords "Russian" Armenia before the turkish army entered there. Contemporaries say he sworn to leave the city in last turn. But he and his smaller son was killed at owm threshold when Turks started massacre those who missed to leave the town. Kop' was also famed by its feasts and rituals:

• Hambardzun (Armenian: Համբարձում) means "Resurrection"
• Vardavar (Armenian: Վարդավար)
• Asdvatzatzin and Surb Khach (Armenian: Աստվածածին, Սուրբ Խաչ) means Holy Virgin and Saint Cross.
