Cetate is the former Brasov fortress built on the top of a hill in 1533. Medieval restaurant serving Transylvanian dishes. Medieval shows by night (ask first). The waiters wear medieval clothes (sometimes). Not to be missed! Remember to take a tour and admire the collection of medieval weapons hanged on the walls and to drop a penny in the draw for good luck. The fortress offers a a splendid view of the town.

La început aflată în afara cetăţii Braşovului, construcţia ridicată în anul 1524 pe un deal reprezenta un fort de lemn cu patru turnuri. În socotelile oraşului au fost contabilizaţi pentru această construcţie 650 de florini. Distrusă în bătălia cu Petru Rareş, domnitorul Moldovei, în anul 1529, este refăcută din piatră între anii 1553-1554. În 1630 i se adaugă patru bastioane la colţuri, care se păstrează şi astăzi. În 1627 se termină lucrările de construcţie ale unei fântâni adânci de 81 de metri.
