Sura Church was built in 1892 but contains items that were salvaged from the old wooden church that lay a few hundred metres to the north and was eventually abandoned. This church was completely destroyed by fire a few years ago. There is a processional crucifix that dates from the medieval period and a pulpit in baroque style. The church is also home to the largest sanctuary mural in Sweden, created in the nineteen fifties by artist Nils-Aron Berge.
