  • Varakadai is a beautiful village sorrounded by paddy fields and a big and very old shiva temple and the famous ANKALAPARAMESWARI temple. To reach there you have to travel on the banks of pazhavar on a very narrow road in which agriculturists would have spread hay on the road to dry. The amman is very beautiful and it is kuladeivam for people from different parts of the states of India and also abroad. On the day I went one businessman from London was doing abishekam. Local people are now a days taking interest and the temple is developing.
  • yes I agree with you. At present the Siva temple is in s critical condition which requires complete renovation. HR and CE dept should care this temple in a warfoot manner.
  • Trying to find descendants of Pakkiriswamy devar whose kuladeivam followers are from this temple. muralidharman@hotmail.com
