island
Add category

A Small island off the bank of Linjiang which is North Korean territory. Seen from Jiangxin Island on the Chinese side one can tell that the surface of the island is being used as a corn field; a telling reminder that any available piece land in North Korea is being used to grow corn, possibly the easiest grown crop to go around for as many people as can be grown for (based on observation from Chinese side in August 2010). The name is based on what appears on a Chinese map and how the characters would presumably read in Korean.
