Linjiang's main public park / recreational center – sort of. It's not particularly flashy and the existing facilities as well as the abandoned ones show some history of trial and error, but as of August 2010, the Island was being redeveloped into what will be known as Chen Yun Park, named after the commanding officer of the Linjiang campaign who is a local hero. Still, the Island is the best place on the Chinese side to enjoy the Yalu River where on the southern side one can stroll by the riverside or just sit and watch, as well as have direct contact with the river. Tourist motor boats and rubber rafting boats depart from the Island taking people to take a closer look at the Korean side. The rubber rafting boats can take you past the border bridge and Chunggang-gun to Dalizi on a 12 kilometer ride.
