The station opened on December 30, 1985

Ground pavilion made by architects, AS Getskin and NV Romashkin-Timanov, and engineer VG Samosudov involving KG Leont'yev (Institute Lenmetrogiprotrans) and embedded in a five-story building of subway technical servises and formed a semi-circular end of the building. Round in terms of escalator hall revealed in exterior tiled saaremskim dolomite pylons, and Large-glass windows, through which visually expands the space and open access to daylight. Dome ceiling formed by the spatial radial-folded concrete construction, having a diameter of about 28 meters. The interior lobby used light marble floors and caps are made of Karelian granite. Above the lobby, the height occupying three floors, located assembly hall of industrial and domestic housing Subway. Ground station lobby is decorated with mosaic "Battle of the Ice" performed by the sketch artist AK Bystrov.
