Lyman (azerb. Liman) - a town in Lankaran Region of Azerbaijan. Located on the shores of the Gulf of Kirov, 12 km north of Lenkoran.
The settlement was founded in 1921 in place of paragraph halt. In 1924 the town was renamed in honor of Vladimir Lenin in Port-Ilyich and in 1971 the village became a town. According to the Soviet census of 1989 in Port-Ilyich population 8,661 people. In 1999, Port-Ilyich was renamed the Lyman.
The city is the fishery.
