Paninora Gaon is a bordering village of Assam with Nagaland. Most of the villagers are professionally cultivators, but a small portion works in the tea garden since the Paninora Branch of the Tyroon Tea Estate head quartered at Kolkata is within the geographical boundary of the village and is adjoining to it. Almost 70 pc of the total population is main stream Assamese including communities- Moran, Matak, Ahom and Thengal Kackari. The remaining amount of the population comprises with the garden workers and Adivashis. Language- Assamese, Sadri, Literacy rate- 65 pc, Religion- Hinduism & Christianity.
