Part of BC Hydro's Campbell River generating project. Water is diverted out of the Quinsam watershed at this point, through a canal into Gooseneck Lake and eventually into Campbell Lake. The diverted water produces extra power at BC Hydro's Ladore and John Hart generating stations.
