BC Hydro's Spillimacheen project consists of a 14.5 metre high concrete gravity dam, and a 4 MW generating station located 1.5 km downstream. Water is delivered to the generating station through a 1.1 km long tunnel to a surge tower, from where two short steel penstocks carry the water to the three Francis turbines.
