The first amusement park in the country, it used to be the only in Khartoum for nearly four decades after independence in 1956. Owned by Alshaheed Organisation (منظمة الشهيد), one of the ruling NCP party supporters' organisations. There are fears that Alshaheed organisation will sell the area and dismantle the amusement park facilities.
