A high quality grocery store that tends to be a little pricey. This store opened as an A&P over fifty years ago (opening around the late 1950s but open by 1960). It became Shopping Bag in 1968 after the new owner of it bought the Los Angeles A&P stores, became Fazio's-Shopping Bag in 1972 after Fisher Foods bought the chain, and it became Albertsons (#622) in 1978 when Fisher divested its California stores. The transition to Gelson's came in 1999 when Albertsons divested this store to buy out a nearby Lucky (which was changed to the Albertsons name soon after).
