This supermarket, with its distinctive Safeway Marina facade (slightly modified) was originally built as a Safeway but sold to Vons in the late 1980s with the sale of the Southern California division, which Safeway bought back later. In April 2015, this store was closed and sold to Haggen as part of court-ordered divestment following a merger with Albertsons, but it didn't last and it was closed by November. It will reopen as Smart & Final Extra in 2016.
